Beef Satay Sticks

Ingredients

Method

Soak bamboo skewers for several hours in warm water prior to threading the beef onto them, to prevent burning.

Cut Beef into thin strips, mix all other ingredients together in a a large bowl. Place the beef strips in the bowl with the marinade and leave for some time ( at least one hour, maybe even a day ).

Thread Beef onto skewers and cook over hot coals ( Grilling works just as well ).

Peanut Sauce

Take remaining marinade and pour into a small saucepan, with a few tablespoons of peanut butter, add water, chilli sauce & lemmon juice to taste. Cook over a low heat until sauce thickens.

Serve satays with rice and peanut sauce.
